My horses follow me like ducklings

When you have 21 acres and need your horses to eat as much grass as possible, you have to get creative. I often have one pasture open to another, so the horses can free range to their hearts’ content. But sometimes they forget how to get back to where they started. That’s when, without halters, the horses follow me like ducklings.

I recorded this video on my iPhone back in April, hence the lower video quality. This is just something the horses do and I find it funny. Nisha is the leader and they all kind of do what she does.

The horses have a whole pond they can, and have, accessed both for drinking and bathing. Do they want to drink from that? Sometimes, but not always. They will often wait at the back gate for me to either lead them to the front pasture via a shortcut (horses are lazy), or to lead them all the way back around to the front pasture where there are two fresh water troughs.
